EMDR Consultation and Training for Therapists

Consultation, training and referrals for clinicians, led by Sharon Steckler, MSW, LCSW, an approved EMDR consultant and training facilitator.

EMDR group consultation

$120 for a two-hour group, limited to six members. Please come prepared to present a case (we'll send a case outline).

If three or fewer people are registered for a two-hour group, we'll contact you and offer either a one-hour consultation at $10 off the regular individual fee, at the same day and time, or a move to a later date.

EMDR individual consultation

One-to-one EMDR consultation to:

• complete the 10 consultation hours required for EMDR basic training

• work toward EMDRIA Certified Therapist status, which requires 20 additional hours of consultation, 10 of them individual (up to 15 may be with a Consultant-in-Training)

• get support and strengthen your EMDR skills

Individual sessions are $140 per hour with an EMDRIA-approved consultant and $130 per hour with a consultant in training.

Refer a client for ketamine-assisted psychotherapy

Your client doesn't need to leave you to do ketamine-assisted psychotherapy with us. With their written permission, we coordinate with you on their goals, relevant history and safety. We provide the preparation, the medicine sessions and integration; you continue their ongoing therapy. We agree clear roles at the start and keep you informed about their progress and anything important that comes up.

You don't need to practise ketamine-assisted psychotherapy yourself. It helps if you understand the general process, are comfortable with a collaborative arrangement, and can support your client as they integrate their experiences. A prescribing medical provider determines medical eligibility and manages the medication.

Internships

We welcome graduate students and pre-licensed therapists. For those who are EMDR-trained or looking to train, EMDR consultation is part of the program.
